ALL GROUP LEADERS SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED A BOOKLET WITH ALL RULES AND REGULATIONS. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU ALL READ IT. MARKS WILL BE DEDUCTED IF YOU BREAK A RULE!!

Due to the overwhelming response for participants in Catagory !! (Secondary), lots were drawn to decide which team goes on which day. There are 4 preliminary rounds altogether - A, B, C, D. IJ had been selected for Preliminary A (Sizzle) and B (Fling, Jam). All dancers MUST go down and support them on those days!

SEE YOU ALL AT THE SINGAPORE INDOOR STADIUM! :)

PS: A Danceworks! 2003 VCD of 2 discs of the finals has been given to us. It consists of all the participating teams who got into the finals including IJ. If you would like a copy, please inform me so that i can burn a copy for you. HOWEVER!!!! since we're trying to raise funds we're going to be charging for the copies. But it will be less than $10... muahahahahahha :)

-Max. length of 4mins or else points will be deducted so don't you dare go over!!!!!
JUDGING CRITIRIA
1.anti-drug theme- 20%
2.entertainment value 20%
3.choreography 20%
4.technique 20%
5.team co-ordination 20%

*ANTI-DRUG COLLAGE, THEME: 'a drug free community is a cool community"
-Paper must be A2 size
JUDGING CRITERIA
1.content 30%
2.effectiveness in sending out anti-drug msg 30%
3.overall attractiveness 40%

-Must be AT LEAST 30 secs!
JUDGING CRITERIA
-effectiveness in sending out anti-drug message 50%
-effort, accompanying music and actions 20%
-clarity in lyrics n projection 10%
-entertainment value 20%


*NOTE
The side events are SUPER SUPER important so advisable to pay VERY close attention to them. The weightage of the combined scores are as follows:

Fundraising week one was a GREAT success!!! Thanks to Tengming and Kyna who took charge of this whole event and made it possible for dance to suddenly become rich!! whahah! $_$ and special thanks to MABEL!!! you've been praised by your head-of's!! :) and also to ATALIA with that loud mouth of hers, conning ppl into buying our food! :) and NICOLE de silva and NICOLE tan have also been mentioned for putting in that extra bit of effort!!!

okkies i gotta say this.i kno about the whole 'treatment' thing.yes,dance has NEVER been treated fairly since day 1 it started.yes,we most def do deserve respect now,but you do realise all of this takes time.its not jus the dance in ijtp tt faces this 'treatment' problem..its almost everywhere.esp in schools.few show us-dancers in general- get the respect we deserve.we're labelled bitches,bimbos, etc..or given spaces on notice boards or any form of proper recognition..but its getting better..you kno wad i mean..n this is going to take time.no point ranting and raving about how unfair life is.yes,of course life fer us IS unfair.but fer now i believe you shd focus about continually bringing ij dance ensemble to greater heights.at every step of the way we'll prove em wrong.im proud where we stand now..we're going upscale..we're gonna get better..jus keep pushing..we'll be truely recognised someday..fer now..wrk it!!aiights??i kno..im naggging nagging nagging..but lets not watse our time yeahhs?i lurve all of my babies..n missing ya like hell..

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
---The Dance board is up!!!!
it's looking SUPER prettyyyy!!! and it totally stands out from the rest of the other CCAs, im just wondering why we have such a small space?? im annoyed at the school you, talk about prejudice and favourism..i'll spit on that i tell you...*PUI*!!!! GRRR...but who cares about those idiots, they KNOW all to well that dance is good, but obviously to unwilling to admit it, especially that miss tan, come and say if we get gold then can go to AUST...what a hypocrite, sooo obviously scorning us ^%%$^#%#%^#^%&...and then the whole day come and preech to us about seeing possiblities and seizing oppurtunities...YAR RIGHT...she doesn't practice what she preech...seeing possibilties my foot!!!

---The logo has also been created!! [it's on the dance board now]
and it's also fabulous, at least i think so..cool beans!! it's made up of an I and a J but it looks like someone dancing so that is possitively cool!! :) :)

---The dance for orientation has been finalised!
i swear the dance is cool..sooooo cool...we're sooo gonna rock the school [EAT THAT!] and alll in just one afternoon, and that's such a feat considering the dance is about 6mins!! our ending pose...ROCKS!!!

i have just noticed that my vocab is very limited..wahhahaha, must go check the thersarus for other words on 'cool' whahah

you know what's the worst thing about dance? i think it's the communication problem..messages never seem to get around properly man.. :( like what i wrote below...SOMEHOW we all got confused ans some of ust thought that mrs zailee was the one who chaired the meeting and yada yada yada..GRRRRRR...but it's like almost IMPOSSIBLE to fix the situation...

ANYWAY, we did manage to have a constructive meeting and we at least got out some things on the
-dance tee
it's gonna be black with 3 main colours
white, orange, yellow and we're also come up with a logo which will be pasted there?? we also need to come up with a quote that will STICK!! SUGGESTIONS!

-notice board
It's gonna be a red backgd, covering the green..man christmas is oovvveeerrrr, anyway there'll be a boder and something on our acheivements and photos will be posted

-orientation performance
i think if you're reading this like at around 7pm you should have ALREADY been informed of tomorrow's pratice!! sorry all of you cant be performing though!! the stage is too small and we're also taking into consent the time shortage cuz sec 1 orientation is like next week!!!! anyway, basic layout is that we're going to showcase latin, ballet, tap, jazz and modern dance aside from hip-hop so i think it's going to be a pretty 'big' thing...i just think we need to branch out from our hip-hop only phase...

anyway, REALLY REALLY need your guys suggestions!! anybody stongly OBJECT just scream it out at the tag ok!!! and quotes ppl!!!
